The creosote sticks to the entire chimney system are flammable if allowed to build up chimney fire. The carbon deposits also reduce airflow out of the chimney, creating a less efficient and slower burning fire, as well as putting you at risk of being exposed to harmful CO gasses unable to effectively be extracted up the chimney. And the cycle is self-propelling – the reduced flow causes the fire to burn colder, in turn creating more harmful deposits than a hotter burning stove or fireplace. that is why the chimney sweep is considered good luck.

WHAT IS ROD TECH POWER SWEEPING
Power sweeping uses softer highly flexible nylon strands on the cleaning heads so it’s a much gentler clean compared to the stiff brushes used for manual chimney sweeping. The power sweeping cleaning heads are spun at approx. 400 rpm and the strands automatically take on the dimensions of the flue to repeatedly rub the soot away. Despite the gentler action, it’s highly effective at cleaning because the strands come into contact with the flue so many times. It is very very good.
